Confirms that all equipment shipped to the site is stored and handled in the proper manner.
Carries out and/or supervises equipment start-up procedures as specified in purchase order or job scope documents.
Conducts comprehensive training of the owner’s personnel at the site of equipment installations.
Diagnoses and effects repairs to installed equipment in the field. Implements parts replenishment initiatives as required.
Assesses nature of repair work required – warranty or invoiceable to customers account and reports same.
Prepares Start-up and Service reports for all work completed in the field.
Provides written feedback to Engineering and Production departments on quality control or operational problems with the equipment in the field. Recommends changes in the design or assembly of equipment required to improve performance.
Trains staff of subcontractors; i.e. manufacturers reps and service reps in the latest troubleshooting procedures, grounding regimes and/or general equipment serviceability issues.
Develops and maintains effective working relationships in the field with customer personnel and contractors. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: 2-3 years’ demonstrable experience in a field related to electrical/mechanical systems.
Post secondary accreditation in an Electrical/Electronics discipline An electrician’s license is considered a definite asset.
Familiarity with PLC’s and other controls platforms is required.
Demonstrated presentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Fluent in both Chinese and English. Important Skills & Knowledge required: Project Management and organizational skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
Ability to work under short deadlines, managing multiple priorities and projects.
