Its global reach is unparalleled in sport and entertainment broadcasting and its penetration into the emerging markets in Asia is unrivalled. Through continued development the organisation is now looking for a Legal Counsel (China) to be based in Beijing. The role will provide legal representation to the Company in connection with purchase and sales of advertising time and sponsorship benefits, organisation of events, cross-border accounting and financial transactions, marketing and licensing of programming, events and channels, technical services and other commercial transactions; provide legal counsel and services to the officers and senior management of the Company regarding Chinese regulatory requirements and registrations, employee/labour law, intellectual property rights, dispute resolution, corporate and company law and contract law. The ideal candidate will be a mid to senior level lawyer who has gained a law degree in the PRC and also has a PRC Bar Admission. An overseas education would be an advantage. Fluent English and Mandarin language skills are essential for this role and whilst PRC Media experience would be a distinct advantage it is not a prerequisite. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer to move into a fast paced media environment with a leading player.
