B) Quantify new product Features, Advantages and Benefits (FAB’s) and collate information and data to assist in product valuation. C) Identify weaknesses / gaps in the China Product Portfolio which are limiting growth in high potential market segments and construct detailed trial and demonstration programs to ensure market growth is attained in all key segments. D) Liaise closely with the China Sales & Marketing teams to ensure the correct products are being trialed in the correct areas E) Manage the Technology Development Team to ensure that all trial work is being conducted and managed in a consistent, structured and clearly documented manner inline with good scientific principles and company wide TD directives. F) Facilitate a teamwork environment within the TD organisation, ensuring that goals are met by utilising the knowledge and resources of all team membersG) Ensure that members of TD are given every opportunity for personal development within the organisation.   Key Accountabilities (Main areas of work responsibilities): 1.Develops and implements methodologies to evaluate Product and Technical opportunities and determine which opportunities present the greatest potential and should be pursued by the Company. 2.Ensures that all TD activities in China are conducted in accordance with global and regional strategies 3.Evaluates opportunities, prepares supporting budgets and business cases and makes presentations to the appropriate Snr Management in order to gain their agreement to, and provide resources for, projects. 4.Maintains an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements affecting the Company in China. 5.Ensures that effective defensive strategies are in place and resources are available to deal with technical issues that affect, and or threaten, the Company’s trading position and future opportunities. Take ownership of Product Claim issues and ensure that correct Technical investigation is completed to assess issues as they arise. 6.Ensure that Product Lines in inventory are appropriate to secure Market opportunities – liaise with Logistics, Production and Research Teams to constantly monitor and address emerging inventory issues in a timely manner. 7.Provides monthly and ad hoc management reports on the activities of the TD Group. Ensures that the China business team are kept up to date with the progress and development of critical issues. 8.Ensures effective use of external contractors to manage excess workloads. 9.Develops and maintains close relationships across the Seed, Biotechnology and Chemical Agricultural Industry Groups. 10.Ensures the maintenance of files of technical data and provide advice and information to interested parties within and external to the Company. 11.Plays an active role in Seminis China Leadership team providing  - actively provide feedback and suggestions across the business. 12.Obtains and co-ordinates resources from within and external to the company.
